The warmer weather always brings wedding season. Wedding season also means, “What am I going to wear?”. Next month I will be going to 2 weddings out of town and I didn’t want to spend too much money on a couple of new dresses to wear. I headed over to one of my favorite online shopping sites, Asos, and was excited to see so many great dresses for a very reasonable price. I just had to share a few of the lovely dresses I found for $30 and under, with free standard shipping to the US – can it get any better than that? I found these gems in the outlet/clearance section. I always love a bargain!
I really wanted to do Renegade this year but didn’t know anyone that wanted to share a booth with me. So I went on Etsy, searched for some Etsy stores that were located in Chicago, and stumbled across Soapily Ever After. I thought her soaps were super cute (and saw that she also shared a love for Ryan Gosling!). I loved the product names and the descriptions made me want to try them. Also, I’m kind of obsessed with lotions, lip balms, and products in general – my boyfriend would sometimes laugh when I brought a new lotion home and he would ask if I’m starting a collection. Ha!
Anyway, I thought I would take a stab in the dark and message Emily to see if she wanted to share a booth with me. She wrote me back the next day and said yes – so I was pretty stoked. We ended up meeting up for a drink not too long after I wrote her, and that one drink ended up being 5 or 6. I have definitely found new friend. Emily is awesome.
Above are a few of my favorite Soapily soaps. Emily has so many other great products like shampoo and conditioner bars, lotion bars, sugar scrubs etc. You can check out her stuff here, and also at Renegade right next to me!
Love love love Shanna Murray‘s wall decals. These floral themed illustrated decals will add a bit of charm to any room. My personal favorite is the Darcy Mirror Kit, shown in the middle picture. I wish I had more wall space in my apartment to put a few of these babies up.
After moving my website from Tumblr recently, I have since used it to share images that inspire me and influence my style. It’s a lot of fun and I really enjoy having a place that embodies my ever growing mood board. You should have a peek here!
Woah, this has really made my day!
For those of you who that haven’t heard about Frankie before, it is only the greatest magazine in the world (in my opinion)! And I’m not saying that just because it’s Australian either, it really is a great magazine. It’s filled with fashion, art, craft, music, and is dedicated to uncovering the newest trends, celebrating the latest creative talents and delivering sharp, honest, laugh-out-loud stories their readers can relate to. It has been my favorite magazine for a few years, so I’m really excited to be featured on their blog.
